Pano 360

Panorama photos captured by certain Android cameras, such as Google Pixels, are not viewable as 360-photos (the sort that you can rotate as if "viewed from the inside") in the native Photos app, or with VR headsets, or on Google Maps. Pano 360 converts a single panorama into a 360-photo (like seen on Google Maps or in VR). Such 360-photos will contain black regions at the top and bottom, above and below the panorama's vertical extent. The 360-photo can then be viewed with the native Android Photos app, or can be uploaded to Google Maps (or can be viewed with a VR headset).

Pano 360 can also merge two panoramas captured from the same location, one tilted slightly up and one slightly down, to produce a 360-photo with greater vertical coverage, although there will still be some black region at the top and bottom of the 360-photo. The quality of the merge of the two panoramas will vary based on the circumstances, but it's better than nothing. I will continue to hone and improve this process over subsequent development. Donations will assist with such future efforts.

Pano 360 is available on the Google Play Store.
